I adore how she carries his head low, at her side, and not aloft in triumph. This is not a self-aggrandizing hero lauding her great deed. This is a woman who wanted to be left the fuck alone.

Also look at her body. The double hips. The asymetrical boobs. She’s thin, but she’s realistic as hell. That’s a real woman.

And the look in her eyes. Damn.

‘Deny, attack, be the victim’ is called #DARVO.

Men use it all the time when cornered. The yelling and abusive tone are tells.

You put horrible men into positions of authority and they selfishly break the system.

DARVO refers to a reaction perpetrators of wrong doing, particularly sexual offenders, may display in response to being held accountable for their behavior. DARVO stands for “Deny, Attack, and Reverse Victim and Offender.”

I would be willing to bet that every woman knows a man who has done this to them.

Could you do a story where someone can’t get out of a relationship (doesn’t have to be romantic) where they want to so badly but there’s so much history, there were good times and bad times as well. But they know if they don’t they will never grow as a person , but to tell this person to go would be worse then tearing their own heart out, so their stuck, I would like to know how someone would deal with that situation.

Kelston Boys’ High School perform a massive haka in honour of the new Maori carving on campus

I live for this

This is the first recording of a Haka I’ve seen that manages to capture even a fraction of the true energy of it. And it’s because there’s so many of them that those boys would have been shaking the ground.

Seeing these boys in their modern uniforms and jackets and backpacks that say NIKE, participating in this ancient ritual, really just drives home what people mean when they say “I am not a costume.” The clothes here are not important. The energy and participation are important.
