unnameablethings:

(Thank you so much!! 😀 <3. Have a terrible chaos disaster.)

Georgia wakes up on the ground with a headache, no memory of the last twelve hours, and her clothes drenched in a dark red substance, and immediately resigns herself to her fate. “Oh, God, I have succumbed to my murderous instincts at last.”

“No, but the fact that you assume that is worrying,” Seamus says, and she turns to look at him. He’s holding a necklace in his hand, swinging it like a pendulum. She vaguely remembers that necklace. It’s super cute. “I told you not to put it on, Georgia. I warned you.”

“Why, what happened? Murder?”

Seamus stops swinging the necklace. “Why do you keep – what do you think is all over you? Blood? No, you absolute nightmare disaster, it’s wine, because you put on a necklace that an elf gave you like a complete moron and promptly went batshit insane.”

“Did I try and bathe in the wine?” Georgia asks, because she’s self-aware.

“You tried to bathe in the wine,” Seamus says, low and pained. “In front of everyone. And then hit on the Elf King and four of his courtiers in quick succession.”

“Were they down with it?”

Irrelevant. You put on the necklace and it drove you to cause chaos and it took me thirty minutes to notice because this is just who you are. Look at your life. Look at your choices.”

“Was I like. Cool chaotic, though? Sort of a suave chaotic neutral?”

“You were chaotic in the way that an enraged raccoon unleashed into an antiques shop is chaotic. You were chaotic like a two-year-old unattended in a candy store is chaotic. You’re chaotic like a dumpster fire.”

Georgia cringes. “Whoops. That’s my bad. Did I offend the Elf King?”

Seamus stares her down for a long moment, eyebrows raised in judgement so Georgia wilts. Finally, he sighs. “No, he recognized the necklace and was very gracious about keeping the blame squarely on the person who gave it to you, which I think is overly generous.”

“Fair,” Georgia says. “Next time I won’t accept jewelry from strangers, okay?”

“Oh, no, don’t worry, I’m never letting you come with me to the Elf Court again.”

“Understandable,” Georgia says, and wrings wine out of her skirt.
